Myrtle Thomas Payne

March 5, 1925 — January 12, 2011

Myrtle Thomas Payne, age 85, of Biloxi, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 in Biloxi.
Mrs. Payne was born March 5, 1925 in Meadeville, MS to Louis and Vida Thomas. She was a resident of Biloxi, MS for the past 52 years. Myrtle was employed as a cosmetologist at Gayfers for 20 years. After her husband's retirement from the Air Force, she and her husband traveled all over the world and the United States. She was an original member of Bay Vista Baptist Church and had a very special relationship with the church and our Lord.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Eddie H. Payne; daughter, Trisha M. Mann of California; two sons, Eddie T. Payne of Colorado and Tommy G. Payne, Sr. of Biloxi; two sisters, Myrtis McManus and Louvenia Patrick of Byram, MS; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society. www.cancer.org.
The Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 17, 2011 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. Friend may visit one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
