Myrtle Barrios

Mrs. Barrios was born and raised in Leakesville, MS almost 98 years ago.  Her parents taught her to work hard, respect those around her, and to always serve God.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to all she encountered as she went about her busy life.  One of her greatest joys was gardening and tending to her plants until she was 95 years of age.  She was a great pet lover and shared her life with many over the years.  She was blessed with a long, full life and will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her four children, Gladys Cody of Mobile, AL, Nell Kieff (Art) of Vancleave, MS, James E. Brumfield of Diamondhead, MS, and Hilton Jerome Brumfield (Vicki) of Columbia, TN.  In addition to her children, she is survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
The funeral service will at 11:30 AM, Saturday, July 28, 2018 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. at Washington Ave, West Jackson County, with a visitation for family and friends from 10:00 AM until the service.  Interment will follow at Jackson County Memorial Gardens in Pascagoula, MS.
The family of Mrs. Barrios would like to thank the fourth floor staff of Memorial Hospital at Gulfport for the many kind and caring acts of assistance in the final days of our Mother.
