Myrna Poolson Favre, age 70, resident of Bay St. Louis, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2010, in Kiln.
Mrs. Favre was a resident of Bay St. Louis for most of her life, where she worked at Casino Magic and the Hollywood Casino as a PBX Operator. She was a published author of two fiction novels based on local history, Across the Branch and Water Under the Bridge. She was a member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. She was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jules Albert and Edna Lind Poolson.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Darrell Lucien Favre of Bay St. Louis; children, Darrell R. Favre of Kiln, Rachelle Favre of Diamondhead, and Rhonda Favre of Baton Rouge, LA; granddaughter, Alexa Loren Hardie; sisters, Roberta Faye LaFontaine of Bay St. Louis, Judy Wrensted of Waveland; and brother, Jules A. Poolson, Jr. of Pensacola, FL.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at Annunciation Catholic Church (New Church Building), at 12:30 p.m. Friends are invited to visit two hours prior to Mass.
Burial will follow at Bayou LaCroix Cemetery.
