Murphy Ray Holland age 76 of Gulfport died in Gulfport on Wednesday, September 19, 2007.
Mr. Holland was born in Harrison county on September 25, 1930. He was lifetime resident of the Coast and was of the Baptist faith. He had retired as a truck driver and a mechanic. A special thanks to the staffs of the Boyington and and Odyssey Hospice.
He fought the good fight until the end.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Allie and William Holland, brothers and sisters, Judy Cuevas, Baby Denise, J.W. Holland, Clarence Holland, Margie Hayes, and Annie Mae West. His survivors include his 8 children; Keith Holland(Pat) of Long Beach, Linda Miller(Phil), Donna Dykes(Bobby) of Gulfport, Sharon Hopkins( Robert) of Saucier, Karen Hansen(Mark) of McHenry, Carla Jones(Gary) of Saucier, Jeanie McClendon(Phil) of Wiggins, Linda Sweat(Kevin) of Spring Lake, N.C. and 25 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildrren.
Visitation will be on Sunday, September 23, 2007 from 12 noon until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m at THE RIEMANN FAMILY's Highway 49 North chapel Burial will be in the Dobson-Holliman Cemetery.
