Mrs. Muriel (Mickie) A. Marcoux of St. Martin, MS passed away on July 1, 2021 in Ocean Springs, MS.
Mickie was born to Claire and Conrad Sargent on November 23, 1931 in Tyngsboro, MA. Mickie spent her happy childhood on the family farm with four siblings. As a young woman, she received her R.N. and worked as a nurse in Boston Massachusetts. She and her first husband, Fred Morton had a daughter, Lorna, and a son, Conrad. Later, Mickie married Rev. Dalton Savoy and they had a daughter, Crystal. Mickie left nursing to enter Hospital administration as Director of the Cancer Research Center in Columbia, MO. After being widowed, Mickie and Crystal moved to Virginia Beach, Va. to live closer to her brothers. She was very active in several churches and used her nursing background to work in Utilization Review in hospital administration and later, taught Vocational Education high school students to become Nurse's Assistants. Upon semi-retirement, she enjoyed being a counselor for Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) and took her first out of country mission trip to Ghana, Africa. Upon her return, she fell deeply in love with Retired Naval Officer and Civil Service Magazine Editor, Russell L. Marcoux. After they married in 1996, together they were ordained into Pastoral Ministry at Revival Life Church. Russell and Mickie entered the mission field in West Virginia, restoring a community church and worked toward building opening an orphanage. In 2013, they moved to St. Martin, Mississippi to continue their retirement with daughter, Crystal and her family.
Mickie is preceded in death by first by husband, Dalton Savoy; son, Conrad Sargent; and husband, Russell Marcoux; sisters, Constance Fissette and Juanita Morton; her brothers, John and Herb Sargent.
She is survived by daughters, Lorna (Rick) Bolduc and Crystal (Jerry) Perry; and bonus children, Michael Marcoux, Kelley Izykowski, Pam (Troy) Catindig; grandchildren, David (Thelma) Bolduc, Sarah Bolduc, Monica (Chaise) Seymour, Melanie (Anthony) Barton, Taylor (Ben) Waldron, Haley (Dorian) Reed, Thad Perry, and Sasha Kaletsch; great grandchildren, Mackenzie Harvey, Bradyen & Brynleigh Seymour, Carter & Hadleigh Barton, and Sophia & Dean Kaletsch.

Mickie will join her late husband, Russell, at the VA Cemetery in Biloxi MS.
