MSGT Edward R. Ohm, Jr, U.S. Air Force Retired, age 71, of Gulfport, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2011 in Gulfport.
Mr. Ohm was a native of Washington, DC and was a graduate of Anacostia High School. He later eneterd the U.S. Air Force and retired at Keesler Air Force Base after 23 years of service as a Master Sergeant. Following retirement from the Air Force, he later worked for the Biloxi VA Medical Center. Mr. Ohm was an active member of Coalville United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Men, and a member of the Washington DC Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Richard Ohm, Sr., and his mother, Beatrice Cecilia Lucas Ohm Gregory. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Edna Mae Ohm, son, Edward R. Ohm, III, daughter, Virginia Mae (Scott) Ohm Fox, and 2 grandchildren, Chelsea Fox and Chase Fox.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 6-8 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 1 pm at Coalville United Methodist Church.
Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to Coalville United Methodist Church, C/O Trustees or Choir Funds, 12298 Shorecrest Dr., Biloxi, MS 39532.
