Msgt. David Milton Kinabrew (USAF Retired)

David Milton Kinabrew, age 87, passed away on November 21, 2024 in Gulfport.

He was born on December 21, 1936 in Liberty, Mississippi, graduated from Liberty High School in 1955. Shortly after he enlisted in the Air National Guard, then the United States Air Force. During his time in the Air Force he graduated from the University of Maryland with a Masters Degree in Business Administration in 1977. He served honorably from 1959 to 1980, and retired as Master Sergeant, receiving numerous accolades and awards including the Meritorious Service Award and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. After retirement from the Air Force, he began a civil service career at NCBC Gulfport, where he worked for many years.

He was an active deacon and Brotherhood Director of Bay Vista Baptist Church in Biloxi. For many years he was a member of TOPS where he served as State Treasurer and Area Captain. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Kinabrew and Edith Lawson Kinabrew; one sister, Joyce Sandifer; and four brothers, Chip Kinabrew, Clyde Kinabrew, Bobby Kinabrew and Kent Kinabrew.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Carolyn Hays Kinabrew; two daughters, Lori Mosher, Joni Martin, all of Biloxi; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vernon Kinabrew, Donnie Kinabrew; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27th 2024, with visitation one hour prior, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Rd. Biloxi, MS 39531. Graveside services with military honors will follow at 11 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave. Biloxi, MS 39531.
