Morris Leger Seymour, III, 66, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at his home in Wiggins, MS. Morris spent much of his life as an Electrical Contractor, but was likely better known as an avid hunter and fisherman by most.
Morris was born on December 30, 1954 in Gulfport, Mississippi to Morris L. Seymour II and Annette Seymour. He attended Gulfport High School, and started an electrical contracting business soon after, Seymour Electric. Later in life, he built and operated Soggy Bottom Canoe Rental in Brooklyn, MS.
Many of his years were spent with friends and family hunting and fishing near the Desoto National Forest, and he always had a story of his adventures to share.
Morris was preceded in death by his parents, Morris L. Seymour II and Annette Seymour, and sister, Charlotte Cooper of Plano, Texas.
He is survived by his two children, Morris L. Seymour IV (Falan Smith) of Long Beach, MS and Cassie (Jason) McCrain of Charlotte, North Carolina; two granddaughters, Penelope Seymour and Madeline McCrain; 2 sisters, Lana Seymour of New Orleans, LA and Sharon Olson of New Orleans, LA and nieces, nephews, and many lifelong friends.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport, served the family, and a private celebration of life will be held with close family and friends to honor his memory.
