Morris Paul “Bear” Hebert transitioned from this life into eternity on January 6,2021 in Kiln,Ms. at the age of 71. Morris was born on March 4, 1949 the only child of Maurice and Mary Hebert. Morris graduated from De la Salle High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He retired from MECO where he worked as a welder and fitter. He married his lifelong love Hazel Zerignue Hebert. They shared over 40 years together.
Bear was always sharing his sense of humor with family and friends. He was constantly telling quick-witted jokes to the family, which everyone looked forward to whenever we were together. He enjoyed building things with his hands using his vast knowledge from years of practice. He often captured the childhood memories of his grandchildren over the years. As one of his final acts of love, Bear had Christmas 2020 recorded for his family to share for many years to come.
Morris leaves to mourn his passing but also cherish his memories, his beloved wife, Hazel Hebert, two daughters Joyce Baham (Glenn), Carol Fernandez (Jack), 11 grandchildren, Jeffery Fernandez Sr., Sheila McGill Allen (David), Robert McGill Jr. (Shawanda), Matthew McGill Sr., Nicole McGill, Jessica Pierre, Jesse Lewis Sr. (Lydia), Justin Lewis, Cara Pierce (Paul),Jeremiah Lewis, and Dylan Wagner, 33 great grandchildren Jeffery Fernandez Jr.,Paula Fernandez, Paulette Fernandez, Jeremy Fernandez, Eric Fernandez, Angelique Fernandez, Yulius Fernandez, Issac Fernandez, Reina Fernandez, Alexa Allen (Donovan), Alaina Allen, India McGill, Victor McGill, Christina McGill, Isaiah McGill, Matthew McGill Jr., Peyton McGill, Megan McGill, Daniel McGill, Quentin Johnson, Ashleigh-Nicole Greathouse, Joshua Greathouse, Miley Greathouse, Jaleel Pierre, Jayda McGill, Jillian Pierre, Javonni Pierre, Jiselle Pierre, Jesse Lewis Jr., Kage Lewis, Addison Pierce, Gianni-David Pierce, and 4 great great-grandchildren.
Morris shares his eternal rest with his parents, Maurice and Mary Hebert, 2 sons Robert Fernandez Jr., Johnny Fernandez, and his great-grandson David Michael Allen III.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 18, 2021, with a visitation starting at 1:00 PM at Annunciation Catholic Church, 5370 Kiln Delisle Road, Kiln, MS.
