Monroe James “M.J.” Necaise, 82, of the Rocky Hill Community in Kiln died peacefully at home surrounded by his family and friends on March 9, 2024.
M. J. Served his church parish at St. Matthew the Apostle. He ensured that the front lawn of the church was always pristine. M.J. Served the Pass Christian Public School District for many years. Once he retired he spent his remaining years taking care of the love of his life Marilyn. Monroe had a deep love for his faith and his toe tapping country music. He could be found on a Saturday night playing 31 with his family and friends while jamming to his favorite country music.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Marilyn Necaise; his parents, Monroe and Cornelia Necaise; his siblings, Cecil Necaise, Curman Necaise, Jason J. Necaise, John I. Necaise, Eloise Hoda, Linda Faye Necaise, Patsy Spurlock, Lois Yarborough, and Margie Dubuisson; and a granddaughter, Tabitha Griffin.
Survivors include his children, Dean (Brenda) Necaise, Don (Kendra “KK”) Necaise, Kathy (Leslie) Hodge, Kendall (Donnette) Necaise and Cecil (Kitzie) Necaise; a sister, Jeanette Peterson; grandchildren, Jason Rhodes, Fr. Braxton Necaise, Ryan (Brittany) Necaise, Whitney (Brent) McCardle, Katie (Andrew Jake IV) Mladinich, Jessica Necaise, Kendon (Shelby) Necaise, Nicholas (Carley) Necaise and Ryeann Necaise; his great-grand-children, Mason McCardle, Aubree Mladinich, Bryer Griffin, Paisley McCardle, Andrew Jake Mladinich V., Greyson Griffin, Taylin Griffin, and Kenlee Necaise; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 11, 2024, from 5 – 9 pm at St. Matthew Catholic Church in White Cypress. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:30 pm Tuesday in the church. Entombment will be in St. Matthew Catholic Church Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph Hospice for their love and care for Mr. Necaise.
