Monroe C. Cliburn, age 84, of Gulfport, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at the Biloxi Veterans Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, F.A. Pecoul and Eldora Pecoul; his father, Monroe Cliburn; and a sister, Lucy Dessommes.
He is survived by his sisters, Catherine (Wayne) Davis, Betty Taylor, and Martha (Raymond) Sinopoli; her brothers, F.A. (Linda) Pecoul and Joseph (Dot) Pecoul; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II and retired from the Gulfport Veterans Hospital.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 1:30 PM at Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi.
