Miriam E. West

Miriam E. West, age 88, of Gulfport, passed away on March 10, 2009 in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Downey, and her granddaughter, Adriane Beckvermitt.
She is survived by her children, Diane Beiring of Richmond, VA and Mimi Salloum and her husband, Joe, of Gulfport; her grandchildren, Christie Eagleson and her husband, Chris, of Jasper, GA, Jay Beiring and his wife, Krystina, of Hattiesburg, MS, Miriam Nelson and her husband, Karl, of Asheville, NC, and Yvonne McCabe and her husband, Michael, of Gulfport; and ten great grandchildren, Chris, Valerie, Lauren, Heather, Cameron, Christian, Grey, Ian, Roan, and Louise.
She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Biloxi, and a volunteer for many years at Nativity of BVM Cathedral, Biloxi.
Mrs. West was affectionately known to family and close friends as """"Donna"""". She was an avid bridge player, math whiz, published poet, and was known for her sense of humor and love of animals.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Biloxi, where family and friends may visit from Noon until service time. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
