Minor """"Pete"""" Rice, Jr., age 70, of Gulfport, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2009, in Gulfport.
Pete achieved a bacheloraÌ‚â‚â„¢s degree at Memphis State University. He was a Pharmaceutical Representative for 15 years. He later took over and owned his own business, Pro Golf Tennis until his retirement. Pete loved golfing, fishing and going to garage sales. He was a very caring and loving man and will be missed by all that knew him.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents Minor Edward Rice and Katherine Baker Bruce.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Rice of Gulfport; son, Bryan Ellis of Gulfport; sisters, Sadie (Bob) Dominquez, of Memphis, TN and Barbara Reese, of AZ; and grandson, Brad Ellis, of Pensacola, FL.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2009, at 2:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, with visitation thirty minutes prior to service.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 366 Cowan Rd. Gulfport, MS 39507.
