Minnie Hyatt Lopresto, 80, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014 in Gulfport. Mrs. Lopresto was born August 11, 1933 in Cleburne County, Alabama. She graduated from Cleburne County High School in 1952.
Mrs. Lopresto worked as a Telephone Operator at South Central Bell for 30 1/2 years and in the casino industry as a PBX Operator for 17 years. She was an active member of New Hope Baptist Church in Gulfport and a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie and Grace Hyatt; sister, Betty Ann Nichols; and brothers, J.T. Hyatt, Fred Hyatt, Bobby Hyatt and Frank Hyatt.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Frank E. Lopresto; daughter, Lisa Lopresto Lute of Long Beach; grandsons, Robert Lute of San Diego and Christopher Lute of Long Beach; siblings, Virginia Messer of Heflin, Alabama, Lucille Loveless of Ranburne, Alabama, Jerry Hyatt of Bowden, Georgia, Faye McLeroy of Powder Springs, Georgia and Peggy Cheatwood of Heflin, Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until the Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m., today, Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach.
The Graveside Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at Biloxi National Cemetery. The funeral procession will leave at 9am from the funeral home.
