Milton Gayle Hill, age 76, a resident of Frisco, Texas, passed away at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano, Texas, on Friday, August 12, 2022, from head injury complications.
Mr. Hill was born on April 9, 1946. He was preceded in death by his mother, Albena Pierce Hill DeCordova; his father, Milton Hill; and his wife, Carolyn Slade Hill. Mr. Hill is survived by his son, Slade; daughter-in-law, Melissa; grandchildren, Emmy (8) and Liam (6 months); brother, Donnie Hill; sister, Sandy Nelson, and numerous other relatives.
Gayle was a devoted father and grandfather. He was born and raised in Gulfport, Mississippi. Most of his professional years were in Johns Creek, Georgia. He relocated to Frisco, Texas in 2020 to be closer to his son and grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Army from 1969-1971, where he was air defense artillery in Germany. He was a proud alumnus of the University of Florida with a degree in Construction Management. He was the owner of Arris Contracting in Norcross, Georgia and was responsible for the development of many subdivisions in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
Friends are invited to join Gayle’s family for visitation and services on Friday, August 19th. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m., at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. The Graveside service will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Hospital, one of his favorite places to donate, will be appreciated.
