Mildred "Mickey" Stewart

Mildred Ladner Stewart, age 85, of Biloxi, passed away on January 7, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie B. Stewart, Sr; a son, Johnnie B. “Benji" Stewart, Jr; her father, Johnnie B. Ladner; her mother, Wilma Frances Ladner; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Jo Ladner.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by her children, Vincent “Vince” Stewart (Stephanie Livermore) of Gulfport and Angela “Angie” Merrill (Mike) of Long Beach; her siblings, John B. Ladner of Lumberton, Leonard Ladner (Carolyn) of Saucier, Merita Shay (Pat) of Pass Christian, and Coy Ladner of Biloxi; her grandchildren, Tristan and Nathan Smith of McHenry, KaLeigh Church of Gulfport, Destiney and Chantz Little of Purvis, Damon Church of Gulfport, Anthony Stewart of Florida, Emma Stewart of Florida, and Richard Stewart of Florida; her great-grandchildren, Masen Smith, Levi Smith, Aubrey Engle, Raelynn Church, Opie and Ryker Church, Kevin Steele, Dakota Steele, Hunter Little, Riverlynn Little, and Maverick Harrington; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Stewart was a native of Lumberton, MS and was a current resident of Biloxi.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.

The family would like to thank Sue Jantz for her love, support, friendship, and care given to our mother.  She truly loved you.  We would also like to thank the staff at Greenbriar Nursing Facility and Gentiva Hospice for the love and care they provided to our mother. 

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, from 1 – 2 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.  The funeral service will be at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will be in Finley Cemetery.
