Mildred Jackie Armour Douglas, born January 20, 1924,Clinton, Illinois; was welcomed to the kingdom of Heaven on December 11, 2020, from Gulfport, Mississippi. She looked forward to rejoining her father, Edward L. Armour(PFC, US Army, WWI), her mother Mildred S. Wuest, brother Clifford (US Navy, WWII) and husband of 56 years, Beldon L Douglas (MSgt, US Air Force, WWII), along with the majority of her church family and friends.
Jackie was a huge sports fan. It may have begun when she attended the University of Alabama from September 1941 until February 1943. She was forever more a loyal Bama fan. Roll Tide. After leaving Alabama, she moved to New York,  where her love of baseball blossomed. She was a huge New York Yankees fan and eventually the Texas Rangers. She recited players and statistics like a pro. Over the years, even when baseball season concluded, she was enthralled in Dallas Mavericks basketball orthe Dallas Cowboys and Tom Landry.
In August 1944, Jackie joined the US Navy. She trained as a Yeoman (clerical) with duty in Millington, Tennessee. Her Navy service lasted until October 1945. It was not long after she relocated to Florida and began her Federal Civil Service career which lasted 30 years.
Florida is where she met and married Beldon, who was serving in the US Air Force. In
1960, the family moved to Fort Worth, Texas. In 2013, Jackie and Beldon moved to the
Army Forces Retirement Home, Gulfport, Mississippi. They enjoyed meeting other retirees and the wonderful staff. Their final years were in the loving care of the Valor Hall andLoyalty Hall staff.
Jackie was deeply proud of her military service. She passed it to her four sons and two
grandchildren. She is survived by her four sons and spouses, her grandchildren and
spouses, and great grandchildren. Oldest son, Bill (US Army Vietnam veteran) and his wife Ping, live in Shenzen, China; Bill’s daughter and granddaughter live in Colorado. Bob (US Marine veteran) and his wife Kay, and family live in Texas. Jim (US Army, LTC retired) and his wife Monica (US Army, Colonel) reside on Joint Base San Antonio, with their family. Their daughter, Jamie and her husband, Jordan, are US Army 1LTs attending medical training at Joint Base San Antonio, and their daughter, Jordan, is awaiting US Air Force commissioning and subsequent pilot training. Her baby boy, John (US Air Force, Lt Col, retired) and wife Kate (US Marine Corps, Col, retired) live in Wisconsin. Jackie loved to tell residents at the Armed Forces Retirement Home, two of her daughters-in-law are Colonels; which immediately generated a lot of laughter at the idea of her boys being ordered around.
As her family and friends celebrate her life, Jackie will be buried with military honors at
Biloxi National Cemetery, next to Beldon on December 21, 2020.

For I am convinced that neither death nor
life, neither angels nor demons, neither the
present nor the future, nor any powers,
neither height nor depth, nor anything else in
all creation, will be able to separate us from
the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our
Lord.
- Romans 8:38-39
