Charles Michael 'Mike' Patrick, age 55, of Biloxi, passed away on April 27, 2008 in Biloxi.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Billie D. McNeil; his Father, Charles E. Patrick; his brother, Charles E. 'Charlie' Patrick, Jr; his grandmother, Addie Mae Chelette; and his step sister, Brenda McNeil.
Mike is survived by his wife, Betty Cannette Patrick of Biloxi; her children, Alena Harder Hosli and her husband, Mike, of Biloxi and Richard Harder, Jr of D'Iberville; one grandchild, Lana Renee Hosli of Biloxi; his step father, Francis P. McNeil; his grandfather, Leon Chelette; four sisters, Pam Barq of St. Martin, Cathie Pierotich and her husband, J.J., Janet Aucoin, and Jerrie Joy Barhanovich and her husband, Mark, all of Biloxi; his sister in law, Pam Patrick, of Natick, MA; his step sisters, Mary K. Benson and her husband, Douglas, of Arkansas, and Polly Ann Herrera and her husband, Manny, of Colorado; his step brother, Paul McNeil, of Gulfport; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mike was a 1971 graduate of Biloxi High School where he was an excellent athlete. He received a full scholarship to Mississippi State University where he played four years as the team's punter. He set the record for the longest punt of 84 yards at MSU in 1974 that held until 1998. In 1974, he was selected to Playboy Magazine's pre-season All-America Team as its punter and played in the Sun Bowl that year. In 1975, Mike signed a free agent contract with the New England Patriots where he played for four years as the team's punter.
Mike loved music. While in high school, he was a member of a rock and roll band, Elysian Fields.
Mike worked in the casino industry from 1992 until 2005 before he was stricken with a lengthy illness. He was chosen as outstanding employee at both the Biloxi Belle and Treasure Bay casinos.
Mike was a member of the National Football League Players Association (MFLPA).
He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 1:00 PM where friends may call from 11:00 AM until service time at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, MS 39531.
