Michael Woodfield

Michael Allen Woodfield, age 43, of Jackson, MS formerly of Gulfport, MS passed away on June 7, 2011 in Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Senator Clyde V. Woodfield; and his grandparents, M/M O.V. Woodfield and David McCoy, MD and Margaret McCoy.
He is survived by his daughter, Sara Frances Woodfield of Spanish Fort, AL; his brother, John Woodfield and his wife, Virginia of Long Beach and their children, Eric Woodfield and Kim Green; a brother and sister, David Lane and his family and Kelly Sevier and her family; and his mother, Sharon McCoy Steel of Hattiesburg.
He had served as Director of Industry Relations with the Mississippi Gaming Commission, and worked with the Harrison County Sheriff's Department and Long Beach Police Department.
He was a loving father, beloved brother, uncle, and son. He touched the lives of those he met and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Memorial donations may be made to one's favorite charity.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
