On September 25, 2023, Michael Jason Tussey, of Ocean Springs, MS, left our world. Born in 1974 in Fairbanks, Alaska, the seventh of eight children born to Carroll and Patsy Tussey, he was always destined to see the world a bit differently than most. He grew up in Alaska, Kansas, England and Ocean Springs, MS where he graduated high school as an Ocean Springs HS Greyhound.
Of the eight siblings, Michael was the only one to follow his father into the Air Force and served honorably with distinction and commendation for eight years. He spent time in Alaska, Korea and Italy during the Kosovo conflict in logistics-even driving the President of the United States at one point. He left military service with an Associates Degree and considerable experience. He continued as a defense contractor for a few years after this, doing the same job he did in the military. For the past 12 years, he dedicated his work life to "Saving the World, One Pizza at a Time" while working with Sizzling Platter, a company that holds the most Little Caesar's franchises in the world. As a Regional Manager, Michael made a large impact in the lives of many employees, coworkers and customers with his infectious enthusiasm, quick wit, work ethic and charm.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, MSGT Carroll E. Tussey.
He is survived by his loving mother, Patsy Jean (Windham) Tussey; his "Pretty Lady", daughter, Emma Grace Tussey; siblings, Monty (Lillian) Tussey, Monica (Dennis) Paquette, Monessa (Paul) Perkins, Melanie (Ed) Girard, Marshall (Noel) Tussey, Misty (Stuart) Charboneau, Mitchell (Stephanie) Tussey; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Although his passing was unexpected, we have the blessed assurance of seeing him again. Michael was a born again believer in Christ Jesus. Not perfect, but wholly forgiven and now in heaven. He will be greatly missed by all.
