Michael James Shiyou, 68, of Lynch Station, Virginia and Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, passed away Monday, April 21, 2008 in Virginia. He was the beloved wife of Juanita LaFontaine Shiyou for 48 wonderful years. Born July 26, 1939 in Hancock County, to the late Crayton Shiyou and Lola Page Shiyou. He was a member and Past Master of Bay St. Louis Lodge #0429 F & AM, a member of American Legion Post #0139 in Bay St. Louis, and Co-Owner of Shiyou Upholstery. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed life the most by making everlasting memories with his beloved wife, family and friends.
In addition to his wife he is survived by four sons, Michael Shiyou and his wife Sylvia, Hugh Shiyou and his wife Paulette, Steven Shiyou and his wife Angel and Todd Shiyou, all of Bay St. Louis; one daughter, Kerri Nicole Shiyou of Lynch Station; four brothers, Dolphus Shiyou, Norbert Shiyou, Eldridge Shiyou all of Bay St. Louis, and Norman Shiyou of Kiln; four sisters, Marie Shiyou Wallace of Florida, Ruth Shiyou Summer, Beverly Shiyou Necaise, and Evon Shiyou all of Bay St. Louis; also surviving are nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Winfield, Ronald and Edward Shiyou.

Visitation will be Friday, April 25, 2008 from 7 until 9 p.m. at THE RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach. The graveside service at will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at Bayou Caddy Cemetery. A guestbook may be viewed and signed at www.riemannfamily.com.
