Michael Shirah

Mr. Michael Brian Shirah, Sr., age 34, and a resident of the Kiln, died on Monday, July 10, 2006 in Mobile, Alabama. Mr. Shirah was born in Pineville, Louisiana on September 30, 1971 and had been a resident of Kiln for 25 years. He was a self employed building contractor and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Shirah is preceded in death by his father, Foy Shirah, sister, Sondra Shirah, grandparents, J.P. and Christine Davenport, John Henry and Annie Shirah; his survivors include his loving companion, Summer Edelman and his son Michael Brian Shirah, Jr., both of Kiln, his mother, Pamela Shirah Miller of Columbia, brothers and sisters, Sharon Carpenter, Becky Boehnel, Foy Lee Shirah, Jr. all of Kiln, Dianna Verdin of Pearlington, Brenda Pickett, Darrell Shirah, Ronnie Shirah, Rhonda McAllister, Randall Shirah all of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 13, 2006 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Kiln-DeLisle Road Chapel of Gulf Coast Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 14, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home chapel and interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou. Michael will be sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and all who knew and loved him.
