Michael D. Sanderson, Sr., age 55 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Monday, August 4, 2008, in Gulfport.
Mr. Sanderson was a lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast. He was a 1972 graduate of Gulfport High School and was a member of Woolmarket Baptist Church. He served in the United States Air Force.
Mr. Sanderson is preceded in death by his parents, Randolf & Joyce Newell Sanderson and two brothers, Butch Sanderson and Eddie Burchfield.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Freddie Ann Sanderson of Gulfport; his children, Michael D. Sanderson, Jr. and Catherine Ann Sanderson both of Gulfport; his sisters, Joyce Burchfield Plummer of Woolmarket and Robin Anderson of Gulfport and a grandson, Michael Tristan Sanderson of Gulfport.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2008, at 11:00am at the National Cemetery in Biloxi.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to any branch of Hancock Bank, Catherine A. Sanderson Education Fund.
