He was preceded in death by his father, Michael J. Rodriguez, Sr.; and his son, Tyler Murphy Gentry.
His is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Jan Rodriguez; his mother, Cherlyn Pitre; his step father, Murray Pitre; his children, Erica Gentry, Josh Gentry, Jacob Gentry, Leslie Gentry, and Tyler Gentry; his siblings, Becky Gazzier Dillow and Bryan Charles Rodriguez; his grandchildren, Jayla Courtright , MacKenzie Harper, Leslie Gentry, Jr "Sonny" Josh Gentry, Landon Gentry, Payton Gentry, Lane Michael Joseph Gentry, Kylee Duncan, Shelby Duncan, Branson R. Gentry, Haston Rodriguez, Isaiah Rodriguez, and Wyatt Rodriguez; and other dear relatives, Billy Martin, Ray Gentry, Jeannie Rodey, Denise Beverly, James Rodriguez, and Wade Dean.
He loved fishing, hunting, and yard work.
