Michael McDaniel

Michael E. McDaniel, age 66, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021, at his home in Woolmarket, MS. He was born in Hattiesburg, MS, to Herbert E. McDaniel and Jean Greer McDaniel on October 4, 1954.
Upon graduation from Harrison Central High School, he joined the Mississippi Air National Guard, where he was enlisted for six years. While employed with the Teledyne Corporation, Michael enjoyed traveling the northwest United State before returning to the coast in 1983. He began working at Dunaway Signs, Inc., from which he recently retired after 37 years of employment. Michael enjoyed fast cars and competition western shooting.
He is survived by his father; his brother, Ray McDaniel (Barbara); his sister, Ginger McDaniel Dunaway (David); three nieces, April McDaniel Ramos, Sarah McDaniel Lesniak, and Tina Dunaway Leuenberger; two nephews, Ryan McDaniel and Jay Dunaway; two great nieces; and six great nephews.
Michael will always be remembered for his gentle and kind spirit. A special thanks to his nephew, Jay Dunaway, with whom he had a special bond, for being there in his time of need.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, April 19, 2021, at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
