Michael E. Hopkins, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2011, at his home in Gulfport.
Michael was born on July 9, 1953, to Harold & Bernice Hopkins of Holton, Indiana.
He is survived by his son, Marc Hopkins of Seymour, Indiana; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Detric, and Mercedes; his mother, Bernice Hopkins; his sisters, Kate Pederson and Yvonne Tanner; his brother, Charles Hopkins, and his life partner of 29 years, Daryl Freeman.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Harold.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at 1:00pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach, where family and friends may visit thirty minutes prior to the service.
A gathering for family and friends will be held immediately following the service at the VFW Post #3937, 213 Klondyke Road in Long Beach.
