Michael James Brown, Sr., age 63, of Biloxi, MS passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at his home in Biloxi.
Mr. Brown was born on March 29, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan.
He was a 1961 All-American quarterback at Ferndale (Michigan) High School and accomplished Master Bridge player, whose hobbies also included golf, bowling, building balsa-wood model airplanes, watching movies and coaching little league football, baseball and bowling. Mr. Brown was a Litigation Manager of the State Farm Insurance Company for seventeen years and finally retired from Dominos Pizza as Construction Manager after ten years of service.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Marjorie and Virgil (Bud) Brown; a brother, Patrick Brown, Sr., and a sister, Bonna Brown McNeil.
He is survived by his loving wife Carol of 17 years and his four children, Mike Brown, Jr. (Margaret), Matthew (Teresa) Brown, Martin (Rebecca) Brown, a daughter Bridget Brown Sly (Paul), and six grandchildren; his two step-sons, Darrin Torrey and his wife (Andrea Herrington), and Trevor Torrey.
A memorial service and burial will be held at All Saint's Cemetery in Waterford, Michigan at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, 379 Howard Avenue, Biloxi, MS 39530.
