Merville "Butch" Litton

Merville ""Butch"" Litton, age 83, of Long Beach, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 20, 2010.
Merville was born in Lytten, Kentucky to Dorothy and Claude Litton. He entered the US Navy upon graduation from high school, and served in WWII and aboard the USS Williamsburg.
He retired from the Navy in 1968 and worked for the US Government in Norfolk, VA.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister Mildred, and brother Donald.
Merville is survived by his loving wife, Alice Marie of 62 years of marriage; children, Linda Lytton and husband Jack, and John Litton and wife Linda; grandchildren, Amy Rose, Jason Rose, Angela Litton, Neal Litton (Kristen), Andrew Litton (Danielle Nicole) and Elizabeth Litton; and 4 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Haley, Grant and Aiden; brother, Robert (Elizabeth); sister, Peggy Wright (Gary); and Bichon puppies, Elvis and Priscilla.
Visitation will be from 12 Noon until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
