Merle Byrd

Merle Bertucci Byrd, age 90, of Biloxi, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 in Gulfport.

Mrs. Byrd was a native of Laurel, MS and a life-long resident of Biloxi.

She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, John Bertucci; her parents, Sharp and Mae Jernigan; and her brother, Tom Jernigan.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Willard "Bill" Byrd; her step-daughter, Nancy Kraus (Steve) and their sons, Kevin & David; her step-daughter, Linda Ros (Hank) and their daughter, Rachel; her sisters, Bobbie Welch and Sue Busby; and her nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Tuesday, January 14th from 10 to 11 a.m. at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be held after services at Southern Memorial Park in Biloxi.
