Mr. Melvin Jay Wainwright, resident of Boyington Nursing Home in Gulfport passed away August 23, 2012 at the age of 70.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo and Elizabeth Wainwright; sisters, Rosemary Shubert and Bonnie Berry; brothers, Billy, Harvey, and Marion Wainwright; and nephew, Joseph Berry.
He is survived by his sons, Jay Wainwright and Scott Wainwright; daughter, Audrey Isreal; sister, Audrey Merle (Colon) Berry; eight grandchildren; and his adopted family at Boyington Nursing Home.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian, MS. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 3:00 pm, with a visitation one hour prior, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bayou LaCroix Cemetery.
