Melvin ""Mel"" Goggleye, 61, of Gulfport passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011 in Gulfport.
He retired from Amtrak after 25 years of service in Minneapolis/St.Paul Area.
Mel was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He spent his time with his grandchidlren and volunteering at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and his foster mother, Birdie Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kathy Goggleye; children, Tim Goggleye, Todd Goggleye, Tammy Goggleye, Amber Hernandez and her husband, Antonio, and Jonathan Goggleye and Amber Staten; and grandchildren, Antonio, Aden, Sadie, and Rayna.
The funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, January 6, 2011, with visitation one hour prior at Bethel Lutheran Church, 2521 Pass Road Biloxi, MS.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Bethel Free Health Clinic, 1650 Carrol Dr. Biloxi, Mississippi 3953.
