Melissa Ann Bailey, age 46 and a resident of Leeds, AL, died Thursday, May 29, 2008, in Gulfport, MS.
Mrs. Bailey was a native of Leeds, AL, and a Mississippi Gulf Coast resident for 18 years. She was a retired teacher and was a member of Leeds First United Methodist Church in Leeds, AL. She was an Alabama fan and enjoyed going and doing things with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Christine Bailey, and her grandfather, James Brennan.
Mrs. Bailey is survived by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. James P. Bailey, of Leeds, AL; and Dorothy Brennan, of Gulfport, MS; her grandmother, Lillian Brennan; children: Jennifer Lauren Davis, Rachel Lynn Cox, Jeffrey Evan Cox, all of Gulfport, MS; and Mr. and Mrs. James Brenton Graves, of Laurel, MS; sisters, Deborah Ann Fournier and husband, Martin, of Diamondhead, MS; and Laura Collins and husband, Chris, of Jackson, MS; and grandchildren, Katherine Elyce Davis and Gavin Davis.
The graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008, at Forest Crest Memorial Gardens in Birmingham, AL.
