Melba J. Thompson, age 78 and a resident of Biloxi, died Friday, June 27, 2008 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Thompson was a life long resident of Biloxi. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for many years before retiring. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be remembered for her love and strength, and will be sadly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Thompson; parents, Thomas B. and Annie Roberts; and sister Katherine Camery.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen J. Reed and husband Rodney; son, Jim Thompson; sister, Lois Lee and husband G.B.; her brothers, Charles F. Roberts and wife Shelby, and Thomas Carl Roberts; and grandson, Brandon Richard Reed.
The funeral service will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. Friends are invited to visit one hour prior to the service. Internment in Biloxi National.
