Maydean Ferguson Floyd, age 90 and a resident of Long Beach, died on Friday, January 20, 2012, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Floyd was a lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast. She was a 1938 graduate of Gulfport High School and was a member of First Baptist Church in Long Beach. She retired from Roy Anderson Corp. after 25 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmet and Ethel Gamblin Ferguson and her husband, William Floyd, Jr.
Mrs. Floyd is survived by her daughter, Mavis Floyd of Long Beach; her sister, Irene Brackner of Foley, AL; her granddaughters, Rachael (Dennis) Reeves of Ocean Springs, and Rebecca (Stephen) Koenenn of Long Beach and her great grandchildren, Cole, Bryson, Haley, Chase, and Reed.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Gulf Pines Cemetery in Long Beach.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 338, Long Beach, MS 39560.
