Maybin Joseph Cuevas

Maybin Joseph Cuevas Jr., Pass Christian, MS, age 65 took his journey to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 22, 2012. Born in Gulfport to Maybin and Luzenia Cuevas on October 7, 1946, Maybin shared a life of love with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Lucille Lizana and Bernice Dedeaux; a brother, Floyd Cuevas, and brothers-in-law, Bill Bryant and William Waller, and a Sister-in-law, Brenda Necaise.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandy Cuevas; son, Jeffery Cuevas; daughter, Jennifer (Josh) Dubuisson; grandchildren, Rayven Cuevas, Skylar Cuevas, and Waylon Dubuisson. He was a foster parent to Larry and Joe Pavolini. Steven Peterson a godchild and special caregiver. Brothers, Darnell (Jearlene) and Phil Cuevas; Sisters, Lavon Bryant, Evon McKay, Marilyn Warren (Kenneth Ray), and Kathy Hudson (Jimmy Ladner), sisters-in-law, Joyce Cuevas, Deborah Carr (Sonny). Foster Brothers Nathan and Sal Pavolini. Godchildren, Ellis J. Garriga, Rhonda Dedeaux, Steven Peterson, Deborah Carr, Kristie Danley, and Lacey Cowart, and Foster Brothers, Nathan and Sal Pavolini. He loved all of his many nieces and nephews. He thrived on family gatherings, believing nothing should separate a family. He loved music, playing guitar and singing. In the early '80's, Jesus came to him, telling him to sing in church, which made him an inspiration to many. His passion was training racing horses. He was employed at Gulfport Glass Co. for 23 years. He worked at Diamondhead Golf Course until he was diagnosed with leukemia in 2000.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2012, from 6 pm-9 pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 26, 2012, at 10:30am at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Rotten Bayou Cemetery.
