May Jewell Runnels Ladner, 83, of Long Beach, MS, left her earthly home to be with her Lord and Heavenly family on October 1, 2008.
She graduated from Gulfport High School in 1942. She was employed with and retired from the Mississippi Department of Health in Gulfport, MS.
Ms. Ladner was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Streichert; step-father, William Streichert; grandmother, Clara Hodgeman; a sister, Delores """"Blondie"""" Fayard; a brother-in-law, JC Fayard; father, Jess Runnels; and former spouses, Oscar Erwin Ladner and Jack Nier.
Ms. Ladner is survived by a daughter, Patti Ladner Salvador (Tony) of Carriere, MS; a son, Michael Nier (Brandy), of Wiggins, MS; six grandchildren, Charles Wise, Biloxi; Sheryl Wise Parry, Gulfport; Maegan, Amber, Tristan, and Madalynn Nier; one great-granddaughter, Christina Parry; a special grandson, Dan Mock, Biloxi; son-in-law, Kenny Wise, of Long Beach; three nieces, Kathy Fayard Allen, Long Beach; Sunny Fayard Brewer, Collins, MS; and JoEllen Fayard Jarrell, Gulfport; one great-nephew; two great-nieces; and three great-great-nieces.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 3, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 4, in the funeral home chapel, followed by interment in the Long Beach City Cemetery.
In lieu of fowers, donations may be made to St. Thomas Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1529, Long Beach, MS 39560.
