Maxine Machen

Maxine Eugenie Poirier Machen, age 89, of Saucier, went home to the Lord on March 28, 2009, in Gulfport.
She was born in New Orleans, LA to Dr. Roger Poirier and Maude Rivet Poirier. She is survived by her sister Lucile Poirier Cousins of New Orleans, LA, her beloved husband of 66 years, Joseph W. Machen, and her children, Joseph and Carol Machen II of Mobile, AL, Michael and Enid Machen, of Saucier, Timothy and Dottie Machen of Gulfport, Madeleine Machen Lord and David Lord of Long Beach, Stephen Machen of Americas, GA, and Christopher and Johanna Machen of Mobile, AL; Grandchildren, Joseph Machen III, Todd Machen, Angela Machen Grice and Robby Grice, Candace Machen Holmes and Chris Holmes, Mathew Yonko, Amanda Lord Gilbert and Wayne Gilbert, Summer Lord Bosarge and Donny Bosarge, Joshua Lord, Maggie Machen Sellers and Matt Sellers, Stephanie Machen, Michael Machen, Bryan Machen, Sarah Machen, and Brett Machen; great grandchildren, Joseph Machen IV, Maxton Machen, Abigail Machen, Miranda Machen, Parker Holder, Rowland Yonko, Zackary Grice, Cade Pique, Bailey Gilbert, and Jackson Gilbert.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 6, 2009 at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, Gulfport. The family would appreciate memorials made to Lakeview Baptist Church Angel Food Ministries, 18233 Hwy 53, Gulfport, MS 39503.
