Maxine Shaw Lindsay, age 77 and a resident of Saucier, died on Friday, September 4, 2009, in Saucier.
Mrs. Lindsay was a native and lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast and was a member of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hugh & Jessie Downing Shaw; her brother, Carl Shaw and her sister, Betty Murphy.
Mrs. Lindsay is survived by her children, Mark (Mary) Lindsay of Saucier, Sharon Phillips of Gulfport, and Keith Lindsay of Saucier; her brother, Wetzel (Myrtle) Shaw of Gulfport; her grandchildren, Brandi Phillips, Jon Lindsay, Matthew Lindsay, and Mischa Lindsay Hill and 6 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009, at 4:00 p.m. at Lakeview Independent Baptist Church, 18233 Hwy. 53, Gulfport, MS 39503. An inurnment will follow at Finley Cemetery.
