Maureen Beverly Lowell, 89, of Gulfport, MS, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 31, 1933, in Marysville, Ca, to the late Roy and Helen Dunham.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James R. Lowell; her daughter, Cherice Lowell, her son, Shane Lowell; her sister, Marlee Sarnowski; and her brother, David Alphonso Dunham.
Maureen is survived by her daughters, Deborah Brunsheen (Dennis), and Jane Lowell; her grandchildren, Jeremiah Lowell (Courtney), Janelle Lowell (Kelly Welch), and Challen Lowell; her great grandchildren, Mikella, Kai’n, Kellan, Chloe, Wade, and Colby; her great-great grandson, Rowan; her good friend whom she treated like a son, Larry Kendall; her niece, Twila Maureen Camden (Paul); her sisters daughter from Mesa, AZ; Marvin Bodine from CA, on James side of the family; his sisters two daughters, Dawn Marie Osborne, from Oregon and Rondetta Huber (Bob) from CA, a niece, Brenda Welch from CA,; and a nephew Craig Steven Bargas, from MO.
Maureen enjoyed going to church and was a member of the Woolmarket Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to so many. Maureen loved making crafts and knitting, she was also an avid collector of Angels and was the Regional Coordinator of the National Angels Collectors Club. Maureen worked as a dental hygienist until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time in the yard at her home and working on home projects.
Maureen will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport, is serving the family. Graveside Services will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Biloxi National Cemetery.
