Matthew David Hochhalter, born August 16, 1988, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Felix Joseph Chetta, Sr., Antoinette Miceli Chetta, and Elsie Sturtevant; his grandparents,Felix Joseph Chetta, Jr., and Jacquelyn Catherine Bruno.
Matthew is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Christina Hochhalter; his daughter, Destiney Smith; his son, Lucas Hochhalter; his parents, Gia and Erube Sanchez, and David and Becky Hochhalter; his siblings, Myles Rayne Rome, Jake Rome, Justin Hochhalter and Amy Hochhalter; and his life long friends, Christopher Stovall, Mike Sedillo, Kelvin Martin and countless other family members and loving friends.
Matthew was born in Metairie, LA., and was a resident of Gulfport, MS. He obtained his high school GED on the morning of his wedding and later attended Perkinston MGCCC. He was an avid gamer and had been playing World of Warcraft for 10 years, where he met some of his closest friends online. He also loved fishing and political debating, or rather, arguing with friends while debating. He had the thickest of skin, always told it how it was and loved harder than anyone could possibly love. He will never be forgotten and is undoubtedly slaying dragons in his after life.
