Mr. Matthew John """" Bubba"""" Garcia, Jr., age 24, resident of Gulfport, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2010, in Gulfport.
Mr. Garcia was born in Tucson, AZ and graduated from Harrison Central, where he was a cheerleader. He went to Jones Junior College on scholarship for cheering. He loved fishing and was voted """"Top Angler"""" among his family and friends. He was a gentle soul and brother to all, had a beautiful smile, could always make you laugh, and will be remembered most for his good heart.
He is survived by his parents, Matthew J. Garcia, Sr. and Peggy E. Garcia of Gulfport; grandparents, Dorothy M. Garcia of Gulfport, Gracie Walters and Jerry Walters of Saucier; three younger brothers, Garrett E. Garcia and his wife Becky L. of Gulfport, Joshua T. Garcia of Gulfport, and Brandon T. Garcia of Gulfport; special nephew and niece, Ty and Alyssa; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2010, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, at 7 p.m. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Church of Royal Law Ministries, P.O. Box 535, Seagoville, Texas 75159.
