Mary Faye Woodcock

Mary Faye Woodcock, age 72, of Pass Christian, MS passed away on January 29, 2025, in Gulfport, MS. She was born in Biloxi, Mississippi to Jack Oscar and Isabelle Hebert Schonewitz. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Isabelle Schonewitz, four sisters Annabell Wescovich, Jacqueline Puzz, Judy Ann Johnson, Stellar Schonewitz, two brothers William Jerry Schonewitz and Oscar Schonewitz, sister-in- law Glenda Schonewitz, and a niece Jane Barber. 

Faye loved to make chocolate pies and to do needlepoint until her hands would not allow her to do. 

Mary leaves her cherished memories to her loving husband Paul Eugene Woodcock; daughter Karen Lizana (Darryl); grandson Brent Lizana ;sisters Barbara Shavers (David) and Vanessa Shavers (William); brothers August Schonewitz (Ruth), Perry Schonewitz (Laura), and Rex Allen Schonewitz; brother-in-law David Puzz; and many nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends 10:30 – 11:00 am, Monday February 10, 2025, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 9062 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian, MS. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11:00 am at the church. Interment will follow the services at St Joseph Cemetery @ Rotten Bayou. 

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Father Paddy Mockler for his compassion and thoughts towards Faye. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Mary’s honor.
