Mary Ann Winstead, 75, of Brandon, MS, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at home with her four children by her side.
As a young girl growing up in Long Beach, MS, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she played the piano and taught Sunday School. She used her creativity and her love of children by teaching ballet and art lessons. She loved her gardening where she spent time with her Savior Jesus Christ. Her sense of humor and laughter was enjoyed by all.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Howard Winstead, her sister Jane Leith Ellis and her parents John Sharp and Ruth D. Ellis.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Ann McKay of Flowood, MS, Kristine (Kristy) Denise McKay of Orlando, FL, Kimberly (Kim) Jane McKay of Ridgeland, MS; her son, Kevin Eugene McKay of Brandon, MS; two granddaughters, Madeline Leigh McKay and Meredith Anne McKay; and her ex-husband Eugene C. McKay.
In 1981, after moving to Brandon, MS she transferred her membership to St. Mark's United Methodist Church, where memorial contributions may be made - 400 Grants Ferry Road, Brandon, MS 39047 (601) 992 - 2131.
Mary Ann Winstead's life will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, MS with a visitation for family and friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Gulfport, MS.
