Mary Stubblefield

Mary La Nelle Stubblefield, age 74 of Biloxi, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, in Gulfport.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Shirley Peters.
Nelle was a proud native of Texas and graduated from Sacred Heart High School and the University of Southern Mississippi.

After teaching adult education for several years, she decided on a career change. Nelle became a Greyhound bus driver despite being only five feet tall. Traveling suited Nelle as she enjoyed being able to experience different parts of the country.

Eventually she returned home to Mississippi to care for her parents. Nelle was a loving daughter and caregiver and loved all animals passionately. She was devoted to her dogs and cats. She also cared for all the wild animals around her home. They came to her daily for their meals.
To know Nelle was to love her. She is survived by numerous cousins and friends. We miss you, Nelle, and will never forget your passion for life and love. We love you.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
