Mrs. Mary O'Lene Knott Stone, age 73, of Gulfport, lost her valiant fight with cancer February 20, 2007.
She is preceded in death by her parents Amos B. Knott and Lois G. Knott Fore, a brother, Joe R. Fore, and a great -grandson, Calvin A. Lee.
O'Lene was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her devoted husband of 53 years, Glenn A. Stone; her daughters, Bridgett (James) O'Malley of McHenry, Leah Beth Scharf of Lizana, and Elaine Stone of Gulfport. Survivors also include grandchildren, Joshua O'Malley of Lizana, Candice (Anthony) Knight of Lizana, Karen (Dennis) Sheehan of Brooklyn, Hannah Scharf of Lizana; 7 great-grandchildren, Logan, Gavin, Sydney Kate, Taylor, Bailey, Ethan, and MacKenzie; brother, Jimmy Knott; and sisters, Doris McMahen, Lucy Wood, Christine Minyard, all of Belzoni, and Doll Rodgers of Nederland, TX.
A memorial service will be held at New Hope Baptist Church on Landon Road in Gulfport, MS on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 2:00pm, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
