Mary Brown Scott, 86, of Biloxi passed away Friday, October 8, 2010.
Mrs. Scott was born January 16, 1924 to the late George and Pearl Brown.
During World War II she was one of the Women of the War working in the men's jobs while they were at war.
She enjoyed feeding and watching the humming birds and other wild birds, and working with her flowers and sharing them with others. She loved garage sales and gave most of her purchases to others.
She took care of all of us, if you had a bruise or a scratch she had a cure of some kind, even if it was just a kiss to make the hurt go away.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Donald Scott, Sr.; her brothers, Oliver, David, Homer, and Robert; and her sisters, Etha, Elsie, Florence, and Matilda.
She is survived by her seven children, Mary Ann (J.C.) Barnett of Biloxi, Harriet (Gil) Picard of Tennessee, Donald (Tanya) Scott, Jr. of Biloxi, Jerry Scott of Biloxi, Russell (Christine') Scott of Germany, Christine (Tommy) Trombley of Saucier, and Barbara (George) Reddick of Wyoming; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd, Biloxi.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park, Ocean Springs.
