Mrs. Mary Tipton Rudat, age 93, resident of Gulfport, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2010, in Gulfport .
Mrs. Rudat was born in Williamsburg, Iowa to Robert Roderick and Elizabeth Mae Tipton. She married Wallace Rudat in 1952 and began her journey as an Air Force wife and lived in Wisconsin, Texas, England, Maine, and New Jersey before moving to Gulfport. Mrs. Rudat lived in Columbus, GA where she was a legal secretary and a volunteer with the Columbus Police Department.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Major Wallace August Rudat; and her sister, Helen Tipton Schoener.
Survivors include her daughter, Robyn Rudat Allen, three grandchildren Wendy Allen (Sherman) Muths of Gulfport, Edward Donald (Terri) Allen of Huntsville, AL and Stacey Allen (Adam) Schwarz of Singapore; and six great grandchildren, Mary Margaret Muths, Isabelle Anne Muths, Edward Donald Allen, Jr, Henry Chaney Allen, Jackson Allen Schwarz and William Adam Schwarz.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
