Our Precious Lord led our beloved by the hand into eternity. Mary Ellen Shiyou Montgomery was called home on Wednesday, March 12, 2008.
Mrs. Montgomery was born August 1, 1946 in Hancock County and was raised in the Kiln Community on the Jourdan River. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dedeaux and later became a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in the Kiln.
Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Shiyou, Sr. and Everita Lind Shiyou; her sister, Gracie Lou Peterson and her brother, Manuel Shiyou, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Aubrey """"Duper"""" Montgomery; three children, Mary Lynn Ladner Necaise and her husband Don of Kiln, Lisa Ladner Ross and her husband Keith of Kiln, Laura Ladner Adam and her husband Brian """"Hooty"""" of Kiln; her grandchildren, Felicity Ross Arcement, Braxton James Necaise, Felicia Katherine Ross, Trevor Thomas Adam, Tanner Neil Adam, and Taylor Anthony Adam; her great grandchildren, Emma Michel Arcement and Brandon Paul Arcement, Jr.; and her sister Beryl Joyce Ladner and her husband Morris of Kiln.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 1:00pm at Annunciation Catholic Church, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00am. Burial will follow at the ME & D Family Cemetery at 7041 Firetower Road in Kiln.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 14595 Vidalia Road, Pass Christian, MS 39571.
