Mary Martin

Mary Catherine Martin, age 97, passed away on December 26, 2023 in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Catherine was born in San Antonio, Texas. She began her education in nursing at the young age of 17. Mary Catherine earned her degree in nursing from Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas and subsequently worked as a registered nurse at Gulfport Memorial Hospital in the nursery and retired after 20 years.

Catherine was preceded in death by her father, Harold Davis; mother, Martha Yarbrough; step-father, Bill Yarbrough; and her husband, Robert Martin, Jr. She is survived by her children, Rebecca Edwards, Robert Martin, III, Jack Martin, Cathy Emison (Wes), Susan Millner, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Catherine was involved in serving her church, Pineville Presbyterian, as an elder and deacon for many years. She had a love for religion, family, gardening, crossword puzzles, and helping others.

Visitation services will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, MS. from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM with private graveside services to follow. Interment will be at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens, in Long Beach.
