Mary Maggard

Mary Ann Maggard, age 86, of Gulfport, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 14, 2021

She was preceded in death by a son, James A. Maggard; her father, Lester C. Dickerson; her mother, Elenor R. Dickerson; 2 brothers, Robert Dickerson and James Dickerson; and a sister, Joyce Harper.

Mrs. Maggard is survived by her children: Carol Jarrard, Ann Holliday (Tom), Beth Koenenn, and Paul Maggard (Eleanor); her siblings: Buddy Dickerson, Douglas Dickerson (Diane), Billy Dickerson, Doris Moore, and Barbara King; 2 sisters-in-law, Laverne Dickerson and Ann Dickerson; her grandchildren: David Jarrard, Jr. (Lisa), Christy Jarrard, Cherie Maggard, Alan Lovelace (Bethany), Steven Paul Maggard, Blake Maggard, Colin Maggard, and Audrey Maggard; her great-Grandchildren: Noah Favre, Caleb Jarrard, Cody Jarrard, Devin Jarrard, Adelyn Lovelace, Peter Lovelace, Matthew Lovelace, Ashley Lovelace, Nathaniel Lovelace, and Malachai Lovelace; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was a native of Meridian, MS and has been a long time resident of Gulfport. She was employed with Memorial Hospital at Gulfport from 1969 - 1997 where she retired as a linen supervisor. Mrs. Maggard enjoyed serving and telling others about her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, praying, reading scripture, attending church and prayer meetings, and loving her family. She was always singing, she loved to cook, and she loved to comfort people. She was a faithful member of the Fountain of Life Tabernacle in Gulfport.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 18, 2021, from 2 - 3 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 3 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Finley Cemetery.
